Who’s the redhead? Kory Curcuru is a local who’s related to half of Gloucester. He worked for years as a comic and writer, eventually producing in Hollywood before returning to the island. In 2012, he founded The Bridge to better connect businesses with the community, and to follow his dream of becoming a professional friend.
What does he do? He makes promotional videos, relays Cape Ann happenings like a hometown anchorman, organizes fun events and festivals, hosts live broadcasts, runs contests to boost local businesses, and teaches seminars on social media—all to celebrate and showcase the uniqueness and beauty of Cape Ann.
Why does he do this? To make friends and have fun. But more importantly, most business owners don’t have the time or personnel to promote themselves or devote to social media, so Kory does it for them. The Bridge continues to build a large following to post content we create on behalf of our members (we call them Bridge Buddies). By joining The Bridge, local businesses, nonprofits, and community groups reach much larger audiences and can more easily integrate in the community and with one another.
